OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Behind senior Karissa Moreland's 1-over par score of 73, the Bellevue University women's golf team is currently in third place at the 10-team Susie Maxwell Berning Classic being played at the Lincoln Park Golf Course.
The Bruins shot a team score of 303 and are nine strokes off the pace of tournament leader McClennan Community College, which shot a 294 team score. Tournament host Oklahoma City University is in second place at 300.
Moreland is currently tied for fifth place in the individual standings. OCU's Anna Mikish leads the 60-person field with a 3-under 69 Saturday.
Maria Saavedra is tied for 10th with a 4-over 76. Wendy Monfort and Renee Santoyo are both tied for 14th with 5-over 77's on the day.
The final round will be played on Sunday beginning at 8 a.m.
