Bruins finish in a tie for 3rd at Creighton Fall Classic

Results

OMAHA, Neb. -- In a tournament that featured seven NCAA Division I and II teams, the Bellevue University women's golf squad finished in a tie for third-place in the eight-team Creighton Fall Classic being played at the Oak Hills Country Club. 

The Bruins improved 17 strokes over Monday's opening round and finished with a 36-hole total of 643 (330-313), 10 strokes off tournament champion Drake University (328-305 -- 633).

Natalia Soria finished in a tie for fourth place overall after firing a 2-over 74 on the day for a two-day total of 154 (80-74). 

Maria Saavedra tied for 13th with a 162 (85-77) total. Karissa Moreland and Wendy Monfort both tied for 16th overall in the 50-person field. 

Drake's Madison Glennie was the tournament medalist after shooting a 4-over par total of 148 (76-72) for the tournament. 

The Bruins will next be in action on Oct. 24-25 at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic in Oklahoma City.
