OMAHA, Neb. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team is tied for fourth after Monday's first round at the Creighton University Fall Classic at Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha, Neb.

Bellevue shot 330 as a team to tie with host Creighton. South Dakota is the overall leader with a score of 324, two strokes ahead of North Dakota (326) and four ahead of Drake (328).

Drake's Madison Glennie and South Dakota's Breana Lervick are tied atop the leaderboard with first round scores of 76. Natalia Soria was Bellevue's top golfer on the afternoon, carding an 80 through 18 holes, just four shots off the pace. She's tied for ninth place overall.

Wendy Monfort (82) and Karissa Moreland (83) were next among BU golfers as they are currently tied for 11th and 15th, respectively.

Reigning NSAA Golfer of the Week Maria Saavedra is tied for 24th overall after carding an opening round 85. Renee Santoyo rounds out Bellevue's lineup after posting a first round score of 92.

Play resumes tomorrow morning with the second, and final, round of the Creighton Fall Classic.
