
SAVANNAH, Ga. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team finished in seventh place at the 72-hole NAIA Women's Golf National Championships being played at the 6,004-yard Savannah Quarters Country Club.
It was the second-highest team finish in school history. The Bruins finished third in 2014.
Bellevue shot a team score of 321 Friday, led by Renee Santoyo's 3-over par 75. Charlene Dubois carded an 8-over 80. Karissa Moreland and Maria Saavedra each shot an 83 on the day. Natalia Soria rounded out the BU scoring with an 86.
Northwood (Fla.) University captured the team title with a 72-hole total of 1211, 22 strokes ahead of second-place finishers William Woods University, SCAD Savannah and Dalton State.
Dalton State's Julia McQuilken was the tournament medalist, finishing with a 4-over par total of 292 (74-70-71-77).
