LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Junior Renee Santoyo led four golfers who shot 77 or better, with a 76, to pace the Bellevue University women's golf team to a sixth place finish at the Battle at Primm on Tuesday afternoon. In a crowded field of 12 strong teams the Bruins fired a 307 on the round to maintain their standing from yesterday.

Juniors Natalia Soria, Karissa Moreland, and Maria Saavedra all shot rounds of 77 on Tuesday. Classmate Charlene Dubois closed out BU finishers with a second round 80.

British Columbia University won the overall team title with a two-round score of 587, 10 strokes ahead of co-runner's up Wayland Baptist University (597) and Northwood University (597). Bellevue shot 618 for the tournament to place sixth.

Santoyo and Soria paced BU with 36-hole scores of 152 apiece to place in a tie for 13th place overall. Moreland (157), Saavedra (158), and Dubois (160) were within three shots of each other in third through fifth for the Bruins.

The Bruins return to the links on Monday, Apr. 6 when they travel to Moline, Ill. for the TPC Deere Run.
