SAVANNAH, Ga. - Junior Renee Santoyo (Guadalupe, Mexico) shot a team-best 76 for the second day in a row and the Bellevue University women's golf team claimed a sixth place finish at the 2014 NAIA National Championship Preview held at the Savannah Quarters Golf Club.

Santoyo's 76 was once again good enough for a round of 4-over at the challenging 6010 yard, par 72 course as she finished in a tie for seventh place in the field of 89 golfers with a two-round score of 152.

Junior Charlene Dubois (Salbris, France) also finished under 80 in the second round, shooting a 78 for a final score of 160 to finish in a tie for 26th place. Classmate Maria Saavedra (Mexico City, Mexico) followed up her first round 82 with an 80 as she finished in 34th place.

Junior Karissa Moreland (North Platte, Neb.) shot an 85 and tied for 40th place with a score of 167. Junior Natalia Soria (La Paz, Bolivia) shot a 93 a Bellevue's final competitor to finish with a score of 176.

Northwood won the team title with a combined score of 605, just one stroke ahead of second place SCAD Savannah (606). Indiana Tech. (634) was next followed by Embry Riddle of Florida (638). Bellevue, with a score of 641, tied for sixth place with Wayland Baptist, one shot behind fifth-place Dalton State (640).
