OMAHA, Neb. - Junior Renee Santoyo (Guadalupe, Mexico) shot a second round 75 to pace the Bellevue University women's golf team to a third place finish at the Creighton Classic at the Oak Hills Country Club. South Dakota, the leaders heading into today held on for a victory with a second round 330 to finish with a score of 642, edging out the hosts Creighton (646) but just four strokes. Bellevue finished six shots off the pace with a total score of 648, including shooting 321 as a team today.

Santoyo's 75 followed an opening round 78 yesterday as she finished at 9-over par to place second among individuals. Junior Maria Saavedra (Mexico City, Mexico) joined Santoyo with sub-80 round, finishing with 79 for a two-day total of 165 to finish in a tie for 13th.

Junior Charlene Dubois (Salbris, France) finished second among Bruins and in a tie for sixth overall with a two-day score of 161, including shooting an 80 today. Junior Natalia Soria (La Paz, Bolivia) was the final placer for Bellevue with a combined score of 170.

Juniors Karissa Moreland (North Platte, Neb.) and Izzy Hernandez (Richmond, B.C.) shot 88 and 97, respectively, today to finish with scores of 170 and 173.

Bellevue will wrap up the fall portion of their schedule at the NAIA National Championship Preview at the Savannah Quarters Golf Club in Savannah, Ga. next Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 27-28.
