DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. - Junior Renee Santoyo (Guadalupe, Mexico) fired a final round 77 to lead the Bellevue University women's golf team to a fourth place finish at the University of South Dakota Coyote Classic played at the Dakota Dunes Country Club. The final round of the tournament was played in less than ideal playing conditions and Bellevue was the only non-NCAA Division I school that participated.

Santoyo's 77 in the third round gave her a 3-round total of 237, 21-over par, which was good enough for a ninth place finish in the field of 45. Classmate Maria Saavedra (Mexico City, Mexico) finished the tournament at 23-over after shooting 86 on the final day, good enough for a tie for 12th overall.

Junior Charlene Dubois (Salbris, France) finished the tournament at 27-over after shooting an 84 on the final day, placing 16th overall.

Juniors Karissa Moreland (North Platte, Neb.) and Natalia Soria (La Paz, Bolivia) finished the tournament at 34- and 36-over after shooting 88 and 89, respectively, on the final day at the 6,041-yard par 72.

North Dakota State won the tournament title with a team score of 926, 33 strokes ahead of second place Drake (959). Bellevue finished in fourth place with a total score of 967, three strokes behind third place finisher South Dakota (964).

Bellevue will return to the links on Monday, Oct. 20 when they compete in the two-day Creighton University Classic at the Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha, Neb.
