PANORA, Iowa -- The Bellevue University women's golf team has six golfers in the top 10 and lead the AIB College of Business Spring Invitational after the first round at Lake Panorama Golf Course.
The Bruins lead the eight-team field by 20 strokes after posting a team score of 321. Clarke University (341) sits in second place.
Renee Santoyo (78), Maria Saavedra (79) and Natalia Soria (80) are the top three golfers in the field.
Charlene Dubois fired an 84 and is tied for sixth while Karissa Moreland is in eighth place after posting a round of 88.
Playing as individuals, Izzy Hernandez carded an 84, good for sixth place, while Jayme Harmelink is tied for 27th after a score of 95 in the opening round.
The 8th-ranked Bruins will wrap-up the two-day tournament tomorrow.
