MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Led by Renee Santoyo, the Bellevue University women's golf team leads the Northwest Missouri State Bearcat Fall Classic at Mozingo Golf Course on Monday.

The Bruins lead the tournament field by two strokes over host Northwest Missouri State University. BU shot a team score of 317 while the Bearcats sit in second place with a first round score of 319.

Santoyo is the individual leader with a three-over-par round of 75 while Maria Saavedra is tied for second after a round of 76.

Karissa Moreland is in a tie for 13th place with an opening round of 82 while Natalia Soria fired an 84 to tie for 20th place overall. Christina VonRiesen is tied for 23rd with a first day total of 85.

Competing as an individual, Jayme Harmelink carded a 91.

The Bruins will conclude the Northwest Missouri State Bearcat Fall Classic tomorrow (Oct. 8).
