The Bellevue University women's golf team earned an at-large berth into the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship on May 21-24 at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln. Doane College is the host school.
The Bruins, who are ranked No. 17 in the final NAIA top 25 poll, captured the 2013 MCAC Tournament title as well as six other titles during the 2012-13 season.
The berth marks Bellevue's first-ever appearance in the National Tournament.
Maria Saavedra leads the Bruins with five individual titles during the 2012-13 campaign, including the MCAC Tournament championship. Saavedra has ten top 10 finishes on the year. Renee Santoyo has captured one title and placed in the top 10 on 11 occasions.
