OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team captured its sixth title of the season, winning the two-round Oklahoma Baptist Spring Invitational Tuesday at the Earlywine Golf Course.
The Bruins (317-307--624) finished 27 strokes ahead of second place Rogers University.
Bellevue was paced by Maria Saavedra who won the individual title with a two-day total of 150 while Renee Santoyo finished in a tie for second place with a final score of 156.
Other Bruin golfers that finished in the top 10 included Natalia Soria who finished in fourth place with scores of 81-76--157 and Christina VonRiesen who fired scores of 81 and 80 to conclude the tournament in eighth.
Jayme Harmelink tied for 19th overall with scores of 88 and 86.
The Bruins will participate in the Creighton Classic on Monday-Tuesday, April 15-16 at the Oak Hills Country Club.
