OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Three Bruins finished in the top 10 as the Bellevue University women's golf team placed third in the season-opening Southwestern Christian Fall Invite Tuesday at the Lake Hefner Golf Course.
Bellevue was 10 shots off the pace of tournament champion Southern Nazarene University, wish finished at 605 (298-307). Seminole State Community College placed second with a 611 (301-310).
Bellevue shot the day's second best round with a 308 for a two-day total of 615 (307-308).
Renee Santoyo was the top Bruin finisher with an even-par 72 on the day and a total of 3-over 147 (75-72). Maria Saavedra finished in fifth with a 5-over 149. Christina VonRiesen registered an 8-over par total of 152 (74-78), good for seventh place.
