GREENWOOD, Ind. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2024-25 women's basketball Academic All-District teams on Tuesday, with a pair of Bruins earning recognition. Representing Bellevue University were senior guards Ashtyn Arnold (Clovis, Calif.) and Gabby Moore (Webster Groves, Mo.).
Student-athletes from NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, as well as the NAIA, were honored with the award, which recognizes excellence in both athletic and academic performance.
After earning honorable mention recognition a season ago, Arnold elevated her play to land a spot on the all-NSAA first team while also being named to the league's All-Defensive Team. She started all 28 games for the Bruins, averaging 14.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Arnold also led the team with 79 assists and shot 45.6% from the field. She ranked third in the NSAA in rebounding, sixth in both scoring and assists, and fourth in field goal percentage among players with at least 300 shot attempts.
Arnold reached a major milestone on Senior Night, becoming just the third player in program history to surpass 1,000 career points. She concluded her Bellevue career ranked third all-time in both scoring (1,066) and rebounds (634), fifth in assists (218), and eighth in steals (92). She also graduated as the program's most accurate free-throw shooter (78.5%) and ranks third in career field goal percentage (44.3%). Her 53 double-figure scoring games, 13 double-digit rebounding performances, and 13 double-doubles each rank third all-time. Her 20-rebound effort against Briar Cliff earlier this season set a new single-game program record.
In conference play, Arnold continued to raise her game. She led the NSAA in rebounding with 8.5 boards per game (128 total), ranked fifth in scoring average (16.4), and was fourth in total points (246). Her 48.3% shooting clip was second among guards and fifth overall, while her 2.7 assists per game ranked eighth in the league.
Moore was named second-team all-NSAA for the second consecutive season following a record-breaking campaign. She led the team with a program-best 17.1 points per game and made a school-record 89 three-pointers. Moore shot 32.8% from beyond the arc, added 56 assists, and collected 23 steals. She led the NSAA in three-point field goals and finished second in scoring average.
She reached the 1,000-point milestone in the Bruins' regular-season finale, combining her Bellevue total with her junior college numbers. She finished her BU career ranked fifth in total points (847) and first in career scoring average (15.1). Moore also ranks ninth in assists (143) and fifth in career three-pointers made (150). Her 48 double-figure scoring games are fourth-most in program history, while her 13 20-point performances rank second all-time.
In NSAA play, Moore maintained her high level of production—ranking sixth in the league in scoring (16.0 ppg) and leading the conference in both total threes made (40) and threes per game (2.7).
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Additionally, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) is required. Graduate students must meet the GPA requirement for both their graduate and undergraduate coursework.
Both student-athletes are now eligible for CSC Academic All-American honors, which will be released on Wednesday, April 16.
Bellevue posted a 15-13 overall record during the 2024-25 season, tying for third place in the NSAA regular-season standings (7-8) and earning the right to host a first-round conference tournament game.
