
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- In an announcement made today by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, four Bellevue University women's basketball student-athletes were honored for their outstanding work in the classroom by being named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The foursome includes Aminah Hall, Ashtyn Arnold, Emily Pomernackas, and Gabby Moore.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
A total of 935 women's basketball student-athletes were honored as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, the most of any winter sport.
The Bruins (13-12, 5-8 NSAA) head to Dickinson, N.D., on Friday, Feb. 21, for a 6:30 p.m. (CT) matchup with Dickinson State University.
