Courter signs with BU softball for 2025-26

Bellevue University head softball coach Michala Cimino announced today the signing of catcher Alivia Courter (Yutan, Neb./Millard West HS) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning in the fall of 2025.

Courter, the daughter of Veronica and Taron Courter, prepped at Millard West High School under coach Don Brummer. She was named team captain in her senior season while earning first-team all-Metro Conference honors once and twice, and she was tabbed as an honorable mention selection.

She batted  .333 her senior season with six doubles, four home runs and 18 RBIs.

An excellent student, Courter was named to her school's Honor Roll for 10 quarters. She plans on majoring in Behavioral Science at BU.

Courter played club softball for coach Hayden Bahl at Nebraska National Bahl 18u.

Courter joins earlier signee right-handed pitcher Carly Bertolini (Papillion, Neb./Papillion-LaVista High School) in the 2025-26 recruiting class.

The Bruins will begin the 2025 season on Feb. 7-8, when they travel to Branson, Mo., for four games. On the opening weekend, BU will battle Sterling, Mission, Calumet, and Central Methodist.
