LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Junior third baseman/pitcher Erin Sharpe added to her resume Thursday, garnering first-team National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NAIA All-American honors for the second-straight season. She earned first-team National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-American honors last week as well.

Sharpe, who garnered North Star Athletic Association Player of the Year honors for the second-straight season, led the Bruin offense with a .409 batting average, 19 home runs, 16 doubles and 55 RBIs. She also paced BU in the circle with 16 wins, a 1.85 ERA, and 138 strikeouts. In the final NSAA statistics, Sharpe led the league in home runs and RBIs, while ranking third in ERA.

In BU's final game of the season, Sharpe became the school's all-time career home runs leader. She has amassed 53 homers thus far in her three-year Bruin career.

In the final national statistics, Sharpe ranked fourth in home runs (19), sixth in total bases (145), 11th in slugging percentage (.824), and 21st in total runs batted in (55).

With one season remaining, Sharpe is in line to etch her name all over the Bruins' career records chart in nearly every batting and pitching category.

The Bruins finished the 2018 season with a 32-23 overall record and a 13-11 conference mark. It marked the ninth-straight season that BU has won 30-or-more games.
