Play suspended at MCAC Softball Tournament

CONWAY, Ark. -- Due to rain and wet field conditions, the Bellevue University softball team's first round game against Oklahoma Wesleyan University at the 2013 MCAC Softball Tournament was suspended in the fourth inning, with BU leading 4-2. 

The game will resume at 2 p.m. on Friday  in the top of the fourth inning with OKWU at bat with two outs and a runner on second base. 

The winner of that game will meet the host school and No. 1 seed Central Baptist College at 6:00 p.m. Friday. The championship game has now been moved to Saturday, May 4. 

A two-run single by Katie Malloy in the bottom of the first and an RBI double by Shelby Kindelin in the second gave the Bruins an early 3-0 advantage. 

Kelsie Bridgeford led off the third inning with a solo homer to center field to extend the BU lead to 4-0.

The Eagles got two runs back in the top of the fourth on a two-run double by Leanne Salas, slicing the lead to 4-2. Following that play, the game was suspended due to rain.
