BELLEVUE, Neb. - The Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2009 all-MCAC softball teams Thursday in conjunction with the 2009 MCAC Softball Tournament in Bellevue, Neb.

Bellevue dominated the list with seven first-team selections including MCAC Player of the Year Jordann Ellis, MCAC Pitcher of the Year Kora Behrens, MCAC Newcomer of the Year Kendra Gansz and MCAC Coach of the Year Ed Lehotak.

Senior outfielder Jordann Ellis was named MCAC Player of the Year after leading the Bruins to an MCAC Regular Season Championship thanks to a .458 batting average with 12 home runs and 39 RBIs.

Senior pitcher Kora Behrens earned MCAC Pitcher of the Year honors by posting a 10-5 record with a 2.41 ERA and 133 strikeouts this season.

Junior catcher Kendra Gansz was tapped MCAC Newcomer of the Year, while Park University pitcher Justine Riner claimed MCAC Freshman of the Year honors.

Bellevue head coach Ed Lehotak was named MCAC Coach of the Year after leading the Bruins to a perfect 12-0 conference record this season (26-11 overall).
