BISMARCK, N.D. -- Bellevue University senior Richard Marcoux has once again been selected as the North Star Athletic Association's Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The Bruins wrapped up the regular season this past weekend with an eighth-place finish out of 27 teams at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic. The race field feature five Top 20-ranked teams and three more receiving votes, including the Bruins.
Marcoux finished first among all North Star competitors and 14th overall in the 339-runner event at the 8K race held at Mahoney State Park in Ashland, Neb. He ran the course in a time of 24:58.0 while helping the Bruins post a school-record team time of 2:09.21.
The NSAA award is Marcoux's third this season and the ninth of his career.
Bellevue next competes in the NSAA Championships, set for Friday, Nov. 8 at Bjornson Park in Valley City, N.D.
