BISMARCK, N.D. -- For the seventh time in his Bruin career, Richard Marcoux has earned the North Star Athletic Association Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week accolades for his performance at last week's Augustanta University Twilight Meet in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Marcoux ran the four-mile course at the Yankton Trails Park in 19:30.07, which was nearly one minute faster than his 2023 race on the same course. He led the Bruins to their highest finish ever in the meet, with a 12th place showing out of 26 teams, which ranged from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and JuCo participants.
He finished 36th overall out of 375 runners and was the fourth-fastest runner from the NAIA and the fastest NSAA participant.
The Bruins return to action in two weeks when they travel to Lincoln, Neb., for the Greeno/Dirksen Invite on September 21.
