Bellevue University head cross country coach Craig Christians announced today the signing of Enoc Ortega (Omaha, Neb./South HS) to a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at BU beginning this fall.

Ortega, who was coached at Omaha South High School under coach John Tripp, becomes the sixth former Omaha South Packer to run for the Bruins with his signing today at Collin Stadium. He is joined by Class of 2023 teammate Ashley Guatemala who signed with the women's squad earlier this year.

"Enoc adds some depth to the squad, and I'm looking forward to his development," said Christians. "I'm happy to keep the Packer Pipeline flowing to BU cross country."

The Bruins begin the 2023 season on Friday, Sept. 1, when they travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., for the Augustana Twilight.
