Bellevue University head men's and women's cross country coach Craig Christians announced his first signee in the 2021 recruiting class today with the addition of Sam McIntyre (Glenwood, Iowa/Glenwood HS). McIntyre will continue his academic and athletic careers at BU beginning in the fall of 2021.
McIntyre was a two-time qualifier for the Iowa State High School Cross Country Championships. He ran a personal best time of 17:20 in the 5K at the 2019 Iowa State Meet where he placed 65th overall.
His personal best time on the track in the 1,600 meters is 4:46.8.
Coach Craig Christians: "Sam can come in and make an immediate impact for us. He's going to add depth and be a great fit with a solid group of returning men we'll have next fall."
