Bruin men establish 800M mark, set bests in two others

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Bellevue University men's cross country/track team established a new school record in the 800-meter race and improved marks in two other events on Saturday at the Prairie Wolf Invitational.

The 800-meter record was established by Aaron Newton with a time of 2:14.38 as he finished in 16th place in the event.

The three marks improved upon were:

30. Edrei Murillo, 1 mile, 4:46.36
44. Desyebelew Debesh, 3000 meters, 9:44.81

The Bruins next compete at the Concordia Classic on Friday, Jan. 31 in Seward, Neb. Action begins at noon.
