CRETE, Neb. -- Highlighted by freshman Edrei Murillo, the Bruins had a solid showing at the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic on Saturday at the Fred Beile Arena on the Doane University campus.
Murillo placed eighth in the 5,000 meters with a personal best and school-record time of 16:55.05.
Other school-records established by the Bruins included:

33. Aaron Newton, 600 meters, 1:35.04
27. Aaron Newton, 1,000 meters, 2:28.54
The Bruins will compete in the Prairie Wolf Invitational on Friday, Jan. 24, beginning at 1 p.m. on the Nebraska Wesleyan University campus in Lincoln, Neb.
