BISMARCK, N.D. -- For the second time this season, junior Saba Khvichava was named the North Star Athletic Association Men's Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at last weekend's Frank Sevigne Invitational.
Khvichava was third among NAIA runners in the mile run at the NCAA Division I Frank Sevigne Invitational at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He met the NAIA 'A' automatic qualifying time of 4 minutes, 13.89 seconds, and finished 12th overall in the race.
Khvichava's time was his personal best and is the top time in the NSAA this season. He currently ranks 13th among all NAIA runners nationally.
Before the NSAA meet in Brookings, S.D., on February 19, the Bruins will compete in one final indoor regular season meet when they travel to Seward, Neb., this Friday (Feb. 10) for the Concordia Invite.
