
Baxter named NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week

Baxter was selected based on his performances from Sept. 17 - 23 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated groupings.
Baxter, a 6-foot senior goalkeeper from Lincolnshire, England, was part of a defense that shut out then-No. 16 Hastings (Neb.). In the 1-0 win on Sept. 18, Baxter compiled a season-high eight saves in 90 minutes. The zero goals scored by Hastings is a first since Oct. 18, 2011 - a span of 18 matches.
On the season, Baxter is 2-5-0 in goal with a 1.52 goals allowed average in 473 minutes.
Bellevue (2-6-1) will host Doane College at 7 p.m. at Tranquility Park on Wed., Sept. 26.
