Bruins upset No. 16 Hastings, 1-0
OMAHA, Neb. -- Junior Ryan Beasley scored on a penalty kick five minutes into the contest and the Bellevue University men's soccer team then held on for a 1-0 victory over No. 16-ranked Hastings College Tuesday night at Tranquility Park.

OMAHA, Neb. -- Junior Ryan Beasley scored on a penalty kick five minutes into the contest and the Bellevue University men's soccer team then held on for a 1-0 victory over No. 16-ranked Hastings College Tuesday night at Tranquility Park.
The Bruins (2-6-1) will be idle until Wed., Sept. 26 when they host Doane College at 7 p.m. at Tranquility Park. Hastings fell to 3-4 on the season.
Beasley's goal was his first of the season.
The Bruins were outshot 24-8 in the contest and 8-3 in shots on goal but Luke Baxter recorded a season-high eight saves to help thwart off the Bronco offense.
Baxter improved to 2-5 on the season with the win.
David Torres and Felix Proessl both recorded six shots and two shots on goal for Hastings.
