
WICHITA, Kan. -- Led by Cayden Wynne and Dylan Rodgers, the Bellevue University men's golf team secured a second-place finish at the 13-team Crestview Spring Invite, held at the 6,913-yard, par-72 Crestview Country Club.
The Bruins posted a 54-hole total of 10-over par (288-293-293), finishing behind host and fourth-ranked Friends University, which claimed the title at 9-under par (278-294-283). Iowa Western Community College placed third at 13-over par.
Wynne tied for first in the 77-player field at 7-under par, capping the tournament with a 2-under 70. His final round featured four birdies and an eagle, with a birdie on the last hole securing his share of the top spot.
Rodgers recorded Bellevue's lowest round of the day, a 4-under 68, highlighted by seven birdies. He finished at 3-under for the tournament, tying for fourth place.
Kyle Dale shot a 3-over 75, finishing at 13-over and tying for 22nd place. His round included three birdies.
Thomas Gatlin dropped eight spots to finish 15th after an 8-over 80, bringing his tournament total to 9-over. He carded two birdies and eight pars in the final round.
Ludwig Klingspor shot a 9-over 81, tying for 41st at 23-over for the event.
Competing as an individual, Randy Christiansen moved up seven spots with a 1-over 73, finishing at 13-over and tying for 22nd place.
The Bruins will return to action at the Kyle Blaser Invitational on March 17-18 at Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City.
