KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Sophomore Hugo Ronnberg was named a third-team NAIA All-American as selected by the NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Association All-America Committee. Three teams of 15 individuals were named to each squad to honor a total of 45 student-athletes.
Ronnberg helped guide the Bruins to a program-best third-place finish at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships last week at the TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. Ronnberg was consistent throughout the tournament, posting rounds of 71, 71, 72, and 71, which put him in a tie for 13th place in the 154-player field.
A first-team NAIA PING all-Central Region selection, Ronnberg earned first-team all-NSAA honors for the second-straight season after finishing in a tie for third place in the NSAA Tournament.
Ronnberg led the 2021-22 Bruins with a 73.2 strokes-per-round average. He finished in the top five in four tournaments during the season and was named the NSAA Golfer of the Week on Sept. 22 after firing three-consecutive rounds of 2-under par 70.
