Freshman Alex Zillig picked up his first career North Star Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week honor for his performance last week in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Classic.
Zillig finished second in the 84-player field at the 14-team Nebraska Intercollegiate Classic. He helped lead the Bruins to the team title with a 3-over par score over 36 holes, finishing with a 74 in the first round and 73 in the second round.
Zillig, who has four top-10 finishes this season, is currently third on the team with a 72.44 strokes-per-round average.
Bellevue will compete in the Kohler Collegiate Classic at the Whistling Straits Golf Course in Kohler, Wis. on Oct. 22-23.
