MADISON, S.D. -- For the second time in his BU career, junior Andre Becerra has been honored as the North Star Athletic Association's Men's Golfer of the Week for his performances earlier this week at the Grand View Viking Classic.
Becerra tied for the individual title played in the tournament, which was played at the par-71, 6,516-yard Tournament Club of Iowa. He finished the tournament at 2-under par, tying for first place with Morningside's Cody Holck, who won on the second playoff hole.
Becerra was just one of three golfers in the 64-player field to shoot par or better in each round of the tournament, posting scores of 69 and 71.
Becerra is currently second on the team with a 70.86 strokes-per-round average.
The Bruins will compete in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Classic on Oct. 12-13 at the Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk, Neb.
