MEDORA, N.D. -- Fernando Arzate shot a 3-under 69 on Tuesday, pushing the Bellevue University men's golf team into second place after two rounds at the North Star Athletic Association Championships being hosted by Dickinson State University at the 6,655-yard, par-72 Bully Pulpit Golf Course. 

The Bruins improved their team score by 13 strokes over Monday's first round, finishing with a 297 total for a 36-hole sum of 607 (310-297). The University of Jamestown leads the tournament with a team score of 588 (298-290). The final two rounds of the tournament will be played in April in Albert Lea, Minn. 

Arzate is tied for 4th with fellow Bruin Andre Becerra as both sit a 5-over-par for the tournament. Juan Gomez is tied for ninth place at 9-over par after shooting a 74 on Tuesday. Lautaro Marzilio is tied for 13th after shooting identical scores of 78 for a 12-over-par total. Inaki Aldao is in 19th place after firing a 78 on Tuesday to go with Monday's 81. 

Jamestown's Zach Gomez leads the tournament field at 2-under par after shooting the tournament's best round of 68 on Tuesday.
