OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Juan Gomez fired a team-best final round 1-under 70 to lead the Bellevue University men's golf team to a seventh place finish at the U.C. Ferguson Classic at the Lincoln Park Golf Course.

Four of the 12 teams at the 6,576-yard par-71 are ranked in the preseason NAIA men's golf rankings, including top-ranked and defending National Champion Oklahoma City.

Fernando Arzate shot third round 73 to equal Gomez as the Bruins' best finishers. The duo shot an identical 2-over for 54 holes to place in a tie for 20th place.

Oklahoma City won the tournament for the third-straight year after shooting 30-under as a team for the tournament. Their final round 273 prevented Texas Wesleyan from closing a nine-stroke deficit in the event's final day. Odessa College placed third and was followed by Oklahoma Wesleyan in fourth while Western Texas College rounded out the top five.

Diego Gudino and Lautaro Marzilio both carded final round scores of 4-over 75 to finish at 220 and 225, respectively. Nicolas Handal recorded a 6-over 77 to close out the tournament for a three-round total of 219.

Oklahoma City's Matthew Cheung shot a tournament-best 15-under 198 to win the individual title. His score was just one stroke of the tournament-record set by Bruno Buccolo in 2006 and matched by Sam Johnston in 2012.
