DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Bellevue University men's golf team claimed the team title at the Iowa Central Community College Tournament played at Otter Creek over the weekend.
Bellevue's team score of 459 bested host Iowa Central by 10 strokes. The two-day tournament saw nine holes completed on Saturday and a full 18 on Sunday.
The Bruins were led by Marc Juggins who shot a 27-hole 111, which was good enough for second overall in the field of 59 golfers.
In all BU had four golfers finish tied for 14th or better. Following Juggins was Diego Gudino in a tie for fourth place, Juan Gomez in a tie for 11th, and Nicholas Handal in a tie for 14th.
Fernando Arzate tied for 17th ahead of Thomas Ovejero who tied for 24th as an individual.
Bellevue next competes Monday and Tuesday Apr. 11-12 in the NAIA Classic at Brickyard Crossing in Indianapolis, Ind.
