MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The Bellevue University men's golf team, paced by tournament leader Jose Vega, sits five strokes back after the first two rounds of the 2015 Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Mozingo Lake Golf Course.

Vega currently owns a one stroke lead on second place David Ryan of Oklahoma Wesleyan after posting a 5-under and 1-over round. Through 36 holes Vega has shot 140 and is joined by Juan Gomez in the top five. Gomez shot a 149 through the first two rounds.

Mike Hannon and Tomas Ovejero are separated by just one spot in the standings in 11th and 12th place with scores of 151 and 152, respectively. Diego Gudino is in 19th place overall after shooting 158 through two rounds.

Final round action continues tomorrow morning with the tournament winner earning an automatic berth in the NAIA National Championship.
