OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Senior Jose Vega (Medellin, Colombia) and sophomore Nicolas Handal (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) were both under par to lead the Bellevue University men's golf team to a fourth place finish on the final day of the 2014 U.C. Ferguson Classic, hosted by Oklahoma City University at the Lincoln Park Golf Course.

Vega shot a 70 to wrap up the tournament with a 3-under par 210 and tied for eighth place while Handel fired a 69 to finish at 4-over with a total score of 217 and sole possession of 18th place.

Junior Tomas Ovejero (Salta, Argentina) shot a 76 to finish in a tie for 26th place with 221. Sophomore Diego Gudino (Queretaro, Mexico) and junior Mike Hannon (Hastings, Neb.) each shot 78 to finish with scores of 223 and 228, respectively.

Oklahoma City won the team title with a score of 824, 15 shots ahead of second place Oklahoma Baptist University. Oklahoma City's "B" team was third with a score of 863 with Bellevue checking in at fourth with a score of 871, six strokes ahead of The Master's College who rounded out the top five.

Bellevue will next compete on Monday, Sept. 22 on day one of the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational  at the Shawnee Country Club in Shawnee, Okla.
