DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Bellevue University men's golf team slipped to 24th place after the second round of the NAIA Men's Golf Championships at the LPGA International Champions Course on Wednesday.
Faulkner University leads the 29-team field by two strokes after firing a one-over-par score of 289 for a two-day total of 575 (-1).
Bellevue finished the second round with a team score of 307. The Bruins have a two-day team total of 612.
After a five-under-par 67 Jose Pablo Rolz of Texas Wesleyan University is the individually leader by three strokes.
Diego Gudino is tied for 49th place after a two-over-par 74 with three birdies. He has a two-day total of 149 (75-74). Jose Vega has a two-round total of 153 (75-78).
Both Tomas Ovejero (77) and Nicolas Herrera (78) fired identical scores from yesterday's opening round while Mike Hannon carded an 80.
The Bruins will continue tournament action tomorrow.
The tournament is a 72-hole event with the final round scheduled for Friday, May 16.
