Final Results
OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Bellevue University men's golf team concluded its fall schedule with a 13th place finish at the River Oaks Intercollegiate Tournament hosted by Oklahoma Christian University on Tuesday at the River Oaks Country Club.
Jeff Shermoen and Javier Franco were the top golfers for BU, finishing in a tie for 57th overall. After an opening round of 79, Shermoen bounced back to record rounds of 75 and 77. Franco (78-74-79--231) notched the Bruins' lowest score of the tournament with a score of 74 in the second round.
Tanner Alder (76-77-80) and Warren Martin (77-78-78) both finished tied for 63rd place after firing final scores of 233.
Oklahoma Christian, last year's NAIA National Champion, won the tournament with a final score of 850. Alasdair Dalgliesh of OCU claimed the individual title with scores of 71-65-71--207. Bellevue finished in 13th place with a three-round total of 928 (310-304-314).
This was the last competition for the Bruins this fall. They return to the golf course in the spring.
