Men's golf finishes sixth at CCC Invite

MCPHERSON, Kan. -- The Bellevue University men's golf team finished in sixth place in its second tournament of the season at the Central Christian College Fall Invitational on Sept. 12-13.

Jeff Shermoen led the Bruins with a 10th place finish. The freshman from International Falls, Minn., recorded scores of 81-74 for a total round of 155. Javier Franco finished the tournament in a tie for 16th with a two-day score of 158. Other Bruins included Tanner Alder (83-79--162) and Warren Martin (82-81--163).

Seminole State Community College finished first with a score of 600. Bellevue finished with a team total of 638.

The Bruins return to action on Sept. 19-20 at the Grand View Classic played in Ankeny, Iowa.
