BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University Overwatch 2 team continued their unbeaten run to open the 2023 Collegiate Homecoming season on Saturday.

The Bruins collected wins over Waterloo University and Ball State University to improve to 6-0 in the competition.

In the first match of the day, Bellevue swept the Warriors 3-0, winning by scores of 2-0, 1-0, and 3-2 before edging out their closest match to date. The Bruins dropped the first game to Ball State 2-1 before posting 3-0 and 3-1 wins to take a 2-1 lead. A 1-0 loss in the fourth game forced a decisive fifth with BU prevailing 3-2  to take the match and stay unbeated.

Looking ahead to this week, Apex Legends is slated for their third competition of the AVGL season on Wednesday, Sept. 27. Action begins at 6 p.m.

This week, Overwatch 2 takes on Bryant & Stratton College (Va.) on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. with a second match against an opponent to be determined set for 3 p.m.
