BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Two of Bellevue University's esports offerings competed last week, posting quality results.
Playing in their second week of the AVGL season, Apex Legends finished ninth of 36 teams. With that result, the Bruins now rank 20th in the 63-team league.
Overwatch 2 picked up a pair of wins in their Collegiate Homecoming season. The Bruins swept Case Western Reserve 3-0 (2-0, 2-1, 3-1) before dispatching 11th-ranked Converse College 3-1 (2-0, 4-3, 1-3, 1-0).
For the second time this season, the Bruin esports program hosted the Brawlhalla Homecoming 1v1, drawing nearly 70 teams to the competition. The third, and final, Brawlhalla Homecoming 1v1 is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 21 at noon with the final eight being live streamed on the BU Twitch Page.
This week, Overwatch 2 continues play in the Collegiate Homecoming Tournament. The play the University of Waterloo on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. and an opponent to be determined at 3 p.m.
