KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Bellevue University League of Legends eSports team swept through the competition en route to a championship finish at the Kansas City International GameCon Expo this past weekend.

BU downed both the Missouri Valley College "B" and "A" teams in two games to advance to the Grand Final where they against matched up against the Vikings' "A" Team. The tournament was formatted as a double-elimination, round robin and feature best-of-three game matches.

The Bruins swept Missouri Valley in a best-of-three series in the Grand Final to take home a Grand Prize of $300 for the team.

Sophomore Gabriel Eckenroth (LoboZ) had a standout tournament for the Bruins combining outstanding macro plays and team calls from the jungle.
