BISMARCK, N.D. -- Bellevue University senior right-handed pitcher Parker McMan (Bozeman, Mont.) has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the NSAA office on Monday afternoon.
McMan fired a complete game shutout in the series opener last Thursday as the Bruins (10-9) toppled (RV) MidAmerica Nazarene 1-0. In seven innings against the Pioneers, he scattered six hits while striking out a season-high nine and issuing just one walk.
For the season, McMan sports a 2-1 record in seven appearances, which includes six starts. He has posted a 2.27 ERA and 1.26 WHIP across 31.2 innings of work and struck out 28 batters, issuing just nine walks.
Bellevue travels to Fremont, Neb. tomorrow, Mar. 18 for a 3 p.m. showdown against intra-state foe Midland University. The Bruins turn around for a four-game set this weekend against Peru State College with single, nine-inning games from John Stella Field at Brown Park on Friday (Mar. 21) and Sunday (Mar. 23) and double-header on Saturday, Mar. 22 at Peru's Centennial Complex.
