Kanta Kobayashi homered, stole two bases, and drove in three runs to power the Bruin offense. Anthony Lind also went deep while Logan Grant finished 3-for-4 with a double.

Grant put the Bruins on the board first with his RBI-double to score Jake Lacey. After being lifted for a courtesy runner, Lind took starter James McCown deep for a 3-0 Bruin lead.

Kobayashi ripped a two run shot an inning later to push the BU lead to 5-0.

Cade Sakamoto (1-0) got the start in the staff game which saw the Bruins use five pitchers. He allowed a run on three hits and struck out four over three innings of work.

Jose Martinez drove home Austin Grant with an RBI-single for the lone run off Sakamoto in the second.

Jared Eifler trotted out to the hill next and delivered a similar line over the next three innings allowing a run on four hits and striking out three.

Kobayashi singled in Mathieu Sirois in the fourth to restore a five-run lead.

The score remained 6-1 until Cesar Galvan chased home a run with a base hit off Eifler in the sixth.

Zane Leyden and Teron Williams each struck out a batter while working a scoreless seventh and ninth, respectively, and Parker McMan struck out a pair in the eighth.

A fielder's choice by Secudino Morales in the eighth made it a 6-3 game before Nick Grade got that run back for the Bruins with a sac fly to score Lacey.

McCown (0-1) took the loss allowing five runs on four hits in just two innings.

The York bullpen fared much better, scattering four hits over the ensuing seven innings as the Bruins managed just two more runs.
