MADISON, S.D. -- Bellevue University senior Corey Jackson (Calgary, Alberta) has been recognized as the North Star Athletic Association Baseball Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the NSAA office on Monday afternoon.
Jackson fired a complete game, two-hit shutout to lead Bellevue to a 4-0 win in the first game of a double-header at Warner University on Saturday. He struck out five and walked three in a 107-pitch outing.
Jackson improved to 2-2 on the year with the victory and lowered his ERA to 2.50. He has now struck out 34 batters in 36 innings of work spanning six starts.
Bellevue (11-4) takes on #1 Southeastern tonight at 5 p.m. from Ted A. Broer Stadium.
