BABSON PARK, Fla. -- Riley Baasch broke a tie with a two-run double in the top of the seventh but back-to-back two-run innings by the host side saw Webber International hand the Bellevue University baseball team a 6-4 loss on Sunday afternoon at Heart of Florida Field.

Bellevue slips to 11-4 on the season while Webber improves to 16-7 with their seventh-straight victory.

BU and Webber traded runs in both the first and third innings. Alec Lee, who went 2-for-5 on the day, doubled in Brenton Davis in the first and singled home Hagen Holmstead in the third.

Webber answered both Bellevue calls for offense with runs of their own. Rougie Odor produced a sac fly to score Norberto Navarro in the first while a ground out from Luis Acevedo in the third did the job to chase in Angel Diaz with the bases loaded in the third.

Bryce McDonald worked 5.2 innings allowing a pair of unearned runs on six hits while striking out six before turning the ball over to the Warrior bullpen.

Graham Cahill worked around a 32-pitch first inning to limit the Warriors to a pair of runs on three hits in three innings, departing with the game tied at 2-2 which is where the score remained until the seventh.

Riley Baasch delivered a one-out two-run double that scored Holmstead and Cody Banks, who began the seventh with a walk and single to put runners on the corners with no outs.

Acevedo cut the deficit in half in the home portion of the frame with a sac fly before Orlando Pena singled in Steven Lugo to tie the game at 4-4.

Thomas Lopez Jr. (3-0) came on with two outs and a runner on third in the eighth but worked out of trouble before pitching around a leadoff single in the ninth to earn the win in relief.

The Warriors scored a pair of runs on non-batted balls with Navarro coming home on a wild pitch and Diaz scampering home on a passed ball in the eighth to take the victory.

Elijah Johnson (0-1) took the loss in relief for BU.

Banks, Rigo Duarte, and Conner Barnett also had two hits apiece for the Bruins.

Bellevue travels to Lakeland, Fla. on Tuesday, Mar. 9 where they take on #1 Southeastern University (21-1) at 5 p.m. from Ted A. Broer Stadium.
