Diehl named NSAA Player of the Week

MADISON, S.D. – Bellevue University junior Zach Diehl (Eugene, Ore.) has been named the North Star Athletic Association Baseball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Diehl hit .583 with six doubles and seven RBI on the week to guide the Bruins to wins over Mount Vernon Nazarene and Siena Heights (twice).

He had a pair of multi-hit games, including a four-hit – all doubles – effort in Bellevue's 11-inning triumph over Siena Heights in the first game of Sunday's double-header. In that game, he drove in three runs, including the game-winner as BU walked off the Saints.

He drove in a season-high four runs in Bellevue's 11-2 victory over MVNU on Saturday afternoon as he went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

Bellevue (6-7) is currently in Florida on their annual spring trip. Following this evening's game against Webber International, BU faces Warner tomorrow at 5 p.m. before taking part in the Warner Invitational with five games from Thursday through Saturday.
