Patterson garners NSAA Player of the Week honors

MADISON, S.D. -- Bellevue University senior JT Patterson (Calgary, Alta.) has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Baseball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

While manning the hot corner, Patterson posted a .500/.500/.800 slash line to help BU to a 5-0 record on the week and help the Bruins match their season-long win streak at 13 games.

Patterson had at least one hit in each of BU's games, including notching a trio of multi-hit efforts. He led the team with three extra-base hits – two home runs and a double – and 10 RBI on the week.

He is currently hitting .373/.465/.753 while his 16 home runs and 59 RBI each rank seventh nationally and lead the North Star. Patterson also ranks 12th in total bases (119), 13th in slugging percentage, and 37th in runs scored (49) on the season.

The award is the second of the season for Patterson who was also named the NSAA Player of the Week back on Mar. 4.

The No. 25 Bruins (33-14 | 17-1 NSAA) travel to Madison, S.D. on Wednesday for an NSAA double-header at Dakota State. First pitch is set for at 3 p.m. from Flynn Field.
