OMAHA, Neb. -- The No. 25 Bellevue University baseball team finished off a four-game North Star Athletic Association sweep of Presentation College on Senior Day as they extended their win streak to a season-long 14 games.

Bellevue rallied for a 9-6 win to secure a series win in the opener and completed the four-game sweep with a 5-0 victory in Saturday's second game at John Stella Field at Brown Park.

In between games of the double-header, Bellevue honored their nine seniors – Kory Longaker, Brandon Sparks, Mitch Savine, Travis Tanaka, Austin Alexander, Stuart Eurich, Stephen Knapp, JT Patterson, and Brandon Desjardins – for their contributions to the BU program over their careers.

Records:

#25 Bellevue: 33-14 (17-1 NSAA)
Presentation: 18-19 (10-10 NSAA)

Game One: BU 9, PC 6

Tommy Hansen capped off a five-run Bellevue comeback with a two-out, three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to give the Bruins a 9-6 win.

Bellevue trailed 6-1 entering the bottom of the sixth after BJ Wyche and Joey Wollman limited the Bruins to just one run on five hits before the bats came alive.

Jace Wyatt doubled home Zane Hunt in the third to put the Saints on the board first before Brandon Sparks answered in the home half of the frame with his first long ball as a Bruin.

Presentation reclaimed the lead in the fourth and tacked on four runs between the fifth and sixth innings, capped by a two-run double by Hunt, to grab a sizable lead.

The Bruins cut into the lead with a three run sixth that saw Stuart Eurich, Sparks, and Travis Tanaka all drive in runs with a base hit.

Bellevue tied the game up in the seventh on a check-swing infield single. Austin Alexander had cut the 6-4 deficit to a run earlier in the inning when he singled home Tommy Hansen.

Brandon Desjardins (2-2) earned the win with three no-hit innings as he struck out seven of the 11 batters he faced. As a staff, BU struck out 15 Saints in the game.

Dryden Kaczmar (0-1) took the loss in relief after allowing three runs on four hits, including Hansen's go-ahead drive.

Game Two: BU 5, PC 0

Kory Longaker went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and Jarrett Poh (6-0) fired a complete game shutout to power Bellevue to a 5-0 win to secure the series sweep.

Bellevue struck first in the opening inning when courtesy runner Daniel Teasley scored on a wild pitch and again when Longaker came in on a fielder's choice off the bat of Tommy Hansen.

The score remained 2-0 until JT Patterson chased in Longaker with a sac fly in the fifth.

Longaker put the game away with a no-doubt shot to left to push the BU lead to 5-0 after PC started Jesse Spangler was chased from the game.

Over seven innings, Poh scattered eight hits and struck out five PC batters while issuing just one walk.

Spangler (1-1) threw well for Presentation despite taking the loss. In 5.2 innings he limited BU to four runs (three earned) on six hits and struck out seven batters.
